Earlier this year Jordan brand introduced a new collection called Season of Her which introduced 10 colorways to the classic Air Jordan 1. About time right? Some women recognition in the shoe game?? I mean, yeahhhh before coming out with these newly feminine designs, women were well part of the sneaker world just as much as men, the main difference is they would only be able to cop it if they either fit 1. men’s sizes or 2. in GS sizing (if such shoe released in GS sizes).
Jordan brand thought about kids before us women? In GS sizes the material, leather, design were not always as great as the men’s either, but do not get me wrong the shoes were still really dope and nice.
HOWEVER, now that Jordan brand is expanding their vision and introducing a Women’s line that incorporates new details, design, color, and a spin on the original that can resonate with us is definitely a step towards branding (& shoes) for all. I love that they are putting a spin to the classics such as the upcoming release this weekend of Air Jordan 1 – Satin Shattered Backboards where the Orange color is in satin and with an embroidered swoosh. I wasn’t able to purchase the beautiful Sunset Tint or Silt Red but nonetheless I am super happy about my Sun Blush purchase. It matches perfectly with a jean jacket I recently bought which is a plus! You can still purchase the shoes HERE they are available in the other colorways as well.
It is really hard to capture the beautiful color of the Sun Blush on camera, but with each angle you can just see how beautiful the lights reflects with the satin. I did a quick reveal/unboxing of the Season of Her | Air Jordan 1 below:

These definitely far exceeded my expectations. The wing logo is metal and painted on to match the shoe perfectly. The soles are a shaded transparency. The suede with the satin flows so nicely together. Nike and Jordan brand did not disappoint! I can’t wait to see what else Jordan Brand has in store for us!!
